Montenegro: Preparations for Vertical Farming Education Underway in Montenegro as Part of the PROVER Project

As part of the Erasmus+ PROVER project – Promoting Vertical Farming in the Western Balkans, the Montenegrin organizations Racc Educo and Plantađun have officially kicked off preparations for the implementation of educational activities focused on vertical farming.

On the first day of the initiative, representatives of both organizations held an internal planning meeting to define the structure and content of upcoming educational sessions that will take place in various local communities across Montenegro. This initial phase was focused on developing an inclusive and impactful education plan, identifying key topics, target groups, and practical steps for delivering interactive and relevant workshops.

The main objective of the initiative is to promote innovative and sustainable food production methods, such as vertical farming, and to ensure that the knowledge shared is applicable and accessible—particularly for young people, educators, and individuals interested in green technologies and urban gardening.

The meeting marked an important first step in realizing a shared vision: integrating vertical gardening into everyday life in Montenegrin households, schools, and communities, thereby supporting local sustainability efforts and encouraging a stronger connection between education and practical agricultural skills.

Stay tuned as Racc Educo and Plantađun bring vertical farming closer to communities in Montenegro through the next stages of the PROVER project.
